Welcome to another scouting year!  Hard to believe but its here!  As you can see our Fall Association Meeting is all set so please put it on your calendars.  We have also had a slight change in positions at the Association level with Carol Frost moving from the area after doing such a fantastic job for us as our Association Secretary for all those years we had a hole to fill.  Well we have filled that hole with an equally good person I believe and that is Phyllis Martin who will be our new Association Secretary.  Also we had Anne Parrish step down after a number of years of doing a great job for us as the Association Treasurer so that she can focus on her new job as SUM.  Cyndie Lipari has stepped forward over the summer to fill this important position for the Association and she'll do a great job for us.  Please join me in welcoming both ladies to their new positions!

This will also be my last year in leadership of the Association.  This will be my 9th year in a leadership position within the Association and its been my honor to serve you all during this time.  After this year however I will not be continuing on as the Association Chair.  What this means is by the Spring Association Meeting somebody will be willing to step up into this position and lead the Association forward.  This is no longer a voted position but is appointed by the GSCNC Board of Directors.  If you may be interested in this position, please review the position description by clicking here and let either Rachel Brown or Barbara Krebs know.

Additionally I am looking for someone to take over the web site maintenance.  This site is developed in Microsoft FrontPage 2003 but if you are web savvy you can really edit the site in darn near anything.  The value of this site is its currency and I simply do not have the time anymore to maintain the site to the currency that is needed to continue to make this site valuable for Association.  So if you are interested in this position, please contact me immediately.  Please however do not use the email links on this site as for some reason my ISP has started refusing to accept the forwarding email and I can't figure out why.  If you do not know how to contact me, you can get that information either through your SUM or Rachel Brown. 

Finally in trying to make this site current, please review it and let me know anything that seems to be off and I will fix it when time permits. 

I know we are going to have a great scout year this year so let's get revved up!
